From Dr. Larry

Dr. Larry Gelman is fiercely devoted to each client, with a deep and profound respect for their own self-agency and self-determination.

I Might Just Piss You Off!

Not that I wish to offend, but sometimes I must.
The truth hurts and so, too, does a lie.

“Mirror, mirror on the wall...” am I the fairest one of all?
Of course you are!

After all, who wouldn’t see just how very special you are?
Except for the fact that you are not always right.

Or good. Or kind. Or considerate. Or respectful.
In fact, sometimes, you are wrong!

And nasty. And mean. And selfish. And spiteful.
True or false?

Here is where I can help.
With a passionate calling to counsel and to mentor.

Confess-conceal, pretend-be real!
To get from here to there, just sometimes...

You need a push and, just sometimes...
You need a pull.

It is your choice and your choice, alone...
Whether or not you go with, toward or against the flow.

Of course you can always... "tap dance on the head of a pin...”
And spin as fast as you can...

And be a very good actor...
Applauding those who applaud you applauding them...or not.

The truth hurts.
The truth also heals.

Accessing it does not generally result...
In my winning any local popularity contests.

But the truth of the matter is that as a licensed clinical psychologist...
I am a healer.

And as a mentor...
I am a spirit guide.

In service of you...
And your best interests.

As your agent, advocate and ombudsman;
Truth be told...

To ignite the incendiary fuse...
Of the powder-keg of your inherent healing powers...

You are now, hereby, forewarned...
I might just piss you off!
